Ofsted Visit 

We were inspected by Ofsted on 02nd March 2012. They found us to be 'outstanding'. Naturally we are all delighted with this outcome. To download a copy of the report please click here.

World Book Day 2012

Well done to all the children for dressing up in such fantastic costumes of all your favourite characters from all the lovely stories you brought in for us to read!! It was lovely to hear you tell us about the character you chose as well as the stories themselves. It was also great to read some non-fiction books and learn about diggers and tractors and sharks!!

Also, thank you to you wonderful parents for putting in so much effort into the lovely costumes. It was a great couple of days.

If you didn't get a book token please do ask for one from member of staff.

Nativity Play 2011

It has to be said it was one of the most enjoyable nativity plays we have seen at Albany Montessori School. The children did a fantastic job. We were delighted at how clearly the children spoke their lines and sang the songs. The costumes were fantastic and we had some lovely cameo performances including a great performance from our donkey proving there are no small parts, only small actors!! Mind you, all the actors were quite small, but I think you get my drift!

Thank you to everyone who made it such a success and a very big 'well done' to the children. You should be very proud of yourselves.

New Premises

As you all know, we moved into new premises at the Sea Cadet Hall, Westminster Lodge, St Albans in September 2012. We truly love our new premises. Not only are all the people running the sea cadet corps all very nice but the premises is bigger, has toilets and a kitchen straight off the classroom, and an outside space, but we are also on the edge of Verulamium Park which is an excellent resource right on our doorstep. Please spread the word about our wonderful new nursery.

 Whipsnade Zoo Visit

Friday 15th July 2011 – Please meet at Whipsnade Zoo at 10:00am. You should all have received a reply slip and details of payment with the recent newsletter. If you haven't please talk to Fawzia or Tim who can arrange for it to be emailed to you or for you to have a hard copy. It's always a very lovely day for all.

Sports Day 

Friday 22nd July 2011 – Parents please arrive with your child promptly at 10:45am as we are aiming to begin activities at 11:00am. Should the weather be inclement we will meet in the Big Hall.

Following the last race there will be a 'pot luck' picnic lunch. Parents will be asked to bring picnic food to share. A list will be compiled nearer the time.

Zoofari Conservation and Animal Visit

This was a huge success. Zoofari brought along some wonderful animals for us to see. These included a Burmese Python, some Brazilian Boas, a Racoon Dog, 'Rosie' the Rose Tarantula, a Meerkat and, probably the fiercest of them all (so I was told), a Giant Rabbit!
